Before discovering drum & bass, HARDFIELD was a metalhead and skateboarder - chasing adrenaline, chaos, and heavy sound wherever he could find it. That same intensity followed him when, in late 2016, a group of friends convinced him to tag along to a DnB event. What started as peer pressure turned into a revelation. The energy, the people, the late-night neurofunk closers, it all hit instantly. From that moment, he knew this was his sound.

By early 2023, HARDFIELD made the leap from the dancefloor to the decks. Inspired by fast-paced DJs like A.M.C, he dove straight into the deep end. Four-deck mixing right from the start. It wasn’t smooth sailing at first, but through countless hours of grinding at home, endless afterparties, and support from close friends, that intensity became his biggest strength. What started as chaos turned into control, and now, his rapid, relentless mixing style is his trademark.

His passion for drum & bass runs deep, not just as a performer but as a community builder. He used to part of the Avian Bass Collective, where he helped curate events that showcase new talent and bring together like-minded DJs and producers, building a platform for the next wave of artists.

In 2024, HARDFIELD co-founded Sanctum, a neurofunk-focused organization that quickly made its mark on the Dutch scene. Alongside NRTXC, he’s pushing the genre forward - going harder, faster, and heavier than the norm, all while creating space for artists who share the same vision.

With an unshakable drive and the mindset that “it’s never enough,”HARDFIELD continues to raise the bar with every performance. From underground beginnings to building collectives that shape the future of neurofunk, one thing’s certain, the energy isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
